Manager, Global Procurement Phones

Location: Fully remote; Nairobi preferred, with candidates also considered from hirify.global country offices in New York, Washington DC, Nairobi, Kampala, Kigali, or London. Candidates based elsewhere may also be considered.

Salary: United States base salary $99,440 annually; United Kingdom base salary £66,150 annually; Kenya base salary $65,000 annually. Target bonuses and benefits stipends vary by country.

What you will do

• Build and maintain rolling phone demand forecasts by country and device model with Programs and country Operations & Procurement Managers.
• Translate forecasts into purchase timelines that prevent stockouts and overstock.
• Manage supplier communication, sourcing processes, RFQs/RFPs, pricing, quality, and vendor reliability for feature phones and smartphones.
• Process and track purchase orders, coordinate vendor payments and invoice discrepancies with Finance, and monitor budgets.
• Manage returns, warranty claims, defective devices, and supplier dispute resolution.
• Track OTIF delivery, cost savings, and Programs satisfaction while identifying risks such as price increases, shortages, and customs delays.

Requirements

• English is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor/category management.
• Experience with demand forecasting and purchase order management.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships, returns, warranty claims, and commercial disputes.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple African countries, time zones, and stakeholder groups.
