Construction Site Manager (Power Generation)

Location: Heanor, United Kingdom; extensive travel and work away from home, including overseas assignments in Europe, are required. Attendance at the Head Office in Derbyshire may be required.

What you will do

• Manage daily operations across construction and installation sites, ensuring work is safe, on specification, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead hirify.global personnel and subcontractor teams on site.
• Serve as the primary Health & Safety authority and enforce safe systems of work and company procedures.
• Prepare and approve company RAMS, review subcontractor RAMS, and manage Permit to Work and isolation procedures.
• Identify, mitigate, and report risks, delays, and significant issues to project leadership.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, internal teams, and the Projects team; conduct inspections and provide progress updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction or industrial M&E environments.
• SMSTS certification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and current Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience managing subcontractors, enforcing RAMS, and leading site operations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, client-facing, IT, ERP, and SharePoint skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in power generation or wider M&E sectors.
