Projects Environmental Health and Safety Advisor - Offshore

Location: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; homeworking and teleworking. The role includes a 14-days-on/14-days-off rotational shift on a vessel.

What you will do

• Integrate EHS requirements and resource needs into bid documents, contracts, and project preparation.
• Support project managers with EHS risk evaluations and handover of EHS information to execution teams.
• Conduct initial site inspections and develop Construction Phase Plans, emergency response plans, and traffic management plans.
• Update project EHS plans to meet client requirements and the hirify.global EHS Management System.
• Ensure compliance with national and international dangerous goods regulations.
• Conduct construction inspections and audits, deliver site EHS campaigns, and compile monthly reports.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Certificate; a Diploma or equivalent in Health & Safety Management is preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation for large construction projects, including offshore and onshore operations.
• Experience conducting inspections and working with ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
• Experience developing EHS arrangements for Principal Contractors under CDM regulations.
• Offshore certifications including BOSIET, Offshore Medical, MIST, Descender Training, Norwegian Escape Chute, and GWO Work at Height.
• Availability to work a 14-days-on/14-days-off rotational shift on a vessel.

Nice to have

• Environmental Management diploma or equivalent.
• CDM Awareness, HSG47 awareness training, CCNSG Passport, accident investigation, Safety by Design, Fire Safety, or IOSH Membership.
• Top Set Investigation Training, COSHH Assessor, Manual Handling Assessor, safety coaching, behavioral safety, or First Aid at Work certification.
