What you will do
- Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across Preston manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Lead the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Safety Pillar and maintain ISO 45001 certification.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs and site-level improvement plans.
- Conduct compliance audits, manage HSE budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), and lead incident investigations using root cause analysis.
- Manage relationships with external regulatory bodies, including the HSE and Environment Agency.
- Coach operational managers and team leaders to embed best practices and sustainable behavioural change.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5/6, or NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an HSE Management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Proven ability to influence behavioural and cultural change.
- Excellent coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and Loss Elimination techniques.
- Experience in data analysis and performance management.
- Change leadership experience.
