Project Manager (Chemical Plant Capital Projects)

What you will do

• Manage capital projects from initial development through mechanical completion, start-up, and closeout.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, execution plans, KPIs, cash-flow forecasts, and risk management plans.
• Lead FEL processes, stage-gate reviews, management approvals, bid packages, procurement activities, and contractor selection.
• Coordinate site engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, engineering firms, and construction contractors.
• Provide technical direction through basic and detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Maintain project safety, engineering integrity, technical records, drawings, documentation, and compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of chemical plant experience and 10 years of direct project responsibility.
• Knowledge of applicable ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, and NEC codes and standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; SAP; and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication, influencing, leadership, change management, organization, presentation, and team-building skills.
• Ability to work in inside and outside plant environments, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, chemicals, fumes, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, scaffolding, and elevated work areas.
