Project Manager, Mega-Project (Blue Point)

Location: Modeste, Louisiana, United States; frequent in-person work in an outdoor chemical plant environment is required.

What you will do

• Manage portions of a greenfield Blue Ammonia mega-project, including scope, estimates, budgets, schedules, cash flow, and formal reporting.
• Coordinate CF project resources with Technip, mechanical contractors, engineering firms, and other third parties.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, vendor selection, logistics, installation, commissioning, and startup support for packaged equipment and process units.
• Manage change orders, control project scope, monitor productivity, and develop schedule recovery plans when delays arise.
• Represent CF during construction planning and execution and coordinate contractor inquiries with the project and engineering teams.
• Integrate EHS requirements into project design and execution, including risk assessments and timely HAZOP studies.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent education and experience; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in operations or engineering within chemical manufacturing or an engineering and technology services provider.
• At least 5 years of capital project development and/or execution experience; PMP certification is preferred.
• Strong management, decision-making, prioritization, communication, and team leadership skills with minimal management oversight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Primavera, ICARUS, or equivalent scheduling and estimating software.
• Must be able to work alternative shifts and schedules supporting 24/7 operations during critical construction, commissioning, and startup activities, and work in an outdoor chemical plant environment.
