What you will do

• Investigate and resolve customer service requests involving gas-consuming equipment and controls.
• Check, adjust, repair, and clean gas control systems, electrical components, and gas-consuming appliances.
• Install and interchange appliance parts as needed.
• Investigate gas leak complaints and make affected situations safe.
• Prepare accurate written reports for services performed at customer premises.
• Assist with on-the-job training for lower-classification service technicians and collaborate with other departments.

Requirements

• Meet the qualifications for Service C-2.
• Maintain an acceptable personal appearance, job knowledge, and performance level.
• Demonstrate knowledge of company safety procedures and rules.
• Write legible and accurate service reports.
• Work from the Orange, Connecticut service location and comply with applicable US immigration requirements if not a US citizen.
