Field Service Technician (Cryogenic)

Location: Islandia, New York, United States; onsite work at hirify.global facilities and customer sites

Salary: $25–$31 per hour

What you will do

• Install and maintain nitrogen generation plants and cryogenic bulk medical or industrial gas systems.
• Support installations at hirify.global facilities and customer sites, including pressure reduction equipment and piping systems.
• Evaluate and improve electrical systems, motor controls, relays, alarms, and liquid-level monitoring equipment.
• Perform site surveys, annual evaluations, preventative maintenance, regulator repairs, and leak repairs.
• Maintain safety signage, site fencing, recommended parts stock, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local codes.
• Respond to emergencies and collaborate with customers and internal teams to keep installations safe and operational.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must hold or obtain a Certified Brazer Certificate within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work with cryogenic and high-pressure gases, equipment, containers, compressors, pressure piping, and related systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, safety documentation, and operating procedures.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, perform calculations, communicate clearly, and respond to emergencies 24 hours per day when scheduled for coverage.

Nice to have

• HVAC or refrigeration certification.
• ASSE Medical Gas Credentials.
• At least two years of industrial field service experience, preferably with gas generation systems.
• Electrical experience and knowledge of NFPA 99 and NFPA 55.
• Experience with welding, silver brazing, regulator repairs, and piping or liquid leak repairs.
