Generator Field Service Technician (Power Generation)

Location: Bohemia, New York, United States; 100% travel required

Salary: $38.94–$45.50 per hour, plus eligible variable compensation

What you will do

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, repair, warranty and campaign service for hirify.global industrial products.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment modifications, startups, and related service work.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, control-system, and power-generation issues.
• Service emergency power supply systems, electrical distribution systems, and transfer switches.
• Perform load bank loading and towing for larger commercial and industrial units.
• Travel to customer sites using a provided fleet vehicle; no overnight travel is anticipated.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 3–4 years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• hirify.global Industrial certification and related maintenance, startup, and troubleshooting competencies.
• Proficiency repairing competitive-brand industrial equipment.
• Required load bank loading and towing experience and related certifications for larger units.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry, wiring schematics, control systems, electrical distribution, transfer switches, and spark-ignited and compression-ignition engines.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in marine, agricultural, construction, automotive technology, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Six years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• Experience with electronics, electromechanical technology, and light tower products.
