Electro/Mechanical Technician

Location: Cheshire, Connecticut, United States; onsite and on-call work with up to 40–70% travel nationwide

Salary: $45,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Build, install, repair, maintain, and test hirify.global gas systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and IT-related equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement mitigation actions.
• Perform PCB testing and analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Plan and execute field service requirements and nationwide equipment installations.
• Provide technical support by phone and email and train end users to maintain gas systems.
• Coordinate with production, management, engineering, IT, and safety personnel; manage inventory and shipment orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical ability to assemble, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Electrical and mechanical expertise in installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced computer skills, including IP network connectivity, basic router setup, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
• Ability to maintain electronic files and provide technical support to end users.
• Ability to travel up to 40% is required; the role includes onsite, on-call, and field-support duties.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in a technical field.
• A+ or MCSE certification.
