Development Manager (C#/.NET)

Annual base salary: $130,000–$175,000

What you will do

• Lead and manage a software development team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering core product features.
• Partner with business analysts, product stakeholders, and support teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Oversee technical design, code quality, release readiness, production support, and software performance.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture guidance, code reviews, troubleshooting, proof of concepts, and technology evaluations.
• Plan team workload, remove delivery obstacles, and ensure commitments meet timeline and quality standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports through feedback, performance management, goal setting, and career development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including 2+ years in a people-management role; 7+ years of software development experience preferred.
• Expert proficiency in C# or another object-oriented language, SQL, relational databases, and database concepts.
• Significant experience with .NET Framework and ASP.NET, plus microservice event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ADO, MySQL, and DocumentDB.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps development practices, AI tools such as Claude and Cursor, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
