Mechanical Engineer I

Location: Syracuse, NY, United States. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance when required.

Salary: $67,706–$112,844 annually, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies under direct supervision.
• Perform finite element, thermal, structural, and vibration analyses and document the results.
• Design experiments, analyze data, conduct structured problem solving, and support product qualification and verification.
• Create manufacturing documentation, mechanical analysis reports, customer datasheets, and other product documentation.
• Review customer specifications and industry standards, identify critical features and risks, and support design reviews.
• Collaborate with RF, manufacturing, process, and project engineers to improve performance and manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and FEA software.
• Ability to interface with customers and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong oral and written communication, critical thinking, research, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• U.S. citizenship and a background permitting eligibility for a Secret clearance when required; compliance with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and TTM export-control procedures.
