What you will do

• Research, develop, design, manufacture, and test mechanical tools, engines, machines, and related devices.
• Design and evaluate power-producing and power-using equipment, including generators, turbines, refrigeration systems, material handling systems, and manufacturing robots.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Research, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.
• Specify system components and modify products to meet engineering, performance, and environmental requirements.
• Investigate equipment failures, diagnose faulty operation, recommend corrective actions, and support operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to complete a government security investigation are required.
• Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, customer relations, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, adapt to evolving processes, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM, MBSE, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, MATLAB, electronics and instrumentation, statics, dynamics, mechanics-based design, and finite element analysis.
