Project Engineer 1 (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States. Full-time, office-based role with required international travel.

What you will do

• Manage multiple product projects from early concept through mass production and provide project management and technical direction.
• Coordinate daily technical and non-technical communication across teams in Anderson and internationally to support timely project completion.
• Drive product designs that meet market requirements, cost, timing, reliability, and high-volume manufacturing objectives.
• Evaluate design alternatives and lead product execution, including component and assembly integration, materials, packaging, safety, regulatory compliance, and standards compliance.
• Write and refine product, performance, and testing specifications; conduct design and safety reviews and support quality compliance.
• Apply Value and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, design of experiments, design for manufacture, assembly and inspection, CAD analysis, and 3D design tools; conduct patent searches and participate in patent development.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate technical details and concepts to engineers and non-technical team members.
• Ability to manage technical elements of product execution through mass production.
• International travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with internal combustion engine design, plastic tooling, structural design, or consumer product design.
• Experience developing electronic consumer products.
