Project Engineer 1 (Mechanical Product Development): Managing power equipment projects from early concept through mass production with an accent on product design, technical integration, manufacturing readiness, and regulatory compliance. Focus on selecting design alternatives, developing specifications, conducting safety and quality reviews, applying FMEA and design-for-manufacturing methods, and supporting patent clearance.
Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; onsite office role. International travel is required.

What you will do
- Manage multiple product development projects from early concept through mass production.
- Coordinate daily technical and project communications with engineering and non-technical stakeholders in Anderson and internationally.
- Drive product designs that meet cost, timing, reliability, high-volume manufacturing, and market requirements.
- Evaluate design alternatives and lead the integration of components, assemblies, materials, packaging, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Write and refine product, performance, and testing specifications and conduct design and safety reviews.
- Support quality compliance, patent searches, and innovation protection using FMEA, design of experiments, CAD analysis, and 3D design tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
- Ability to communicate technical details and concepts to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of consumer product design and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.

- Internal combustion engine design experience.
- Plastic tooling experience.
- Structural design experience.
- Experience developing electronic consumer products.
