Project Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

What you will do

• Manage multiple product development projects from early concept through mass production.
• Coordinate daily written and verbal communication among engineers and non-technical stakeholders in Anderson and international locations.
• Direct product design to meet cost, timing, reliability, safety, customer, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate design alternatives and oversee the integration of complex components and assemblies, materials, packaging, and compliance requirements.
• Develop product, performance, and testing specifications and lead design and safety reviews.
• Apply value analysis, FMEA, design of experiments, CAD analysis, 3D design tools, and design-for-manufacture, assembly, and inspection methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
• Knowledge of reliability, safety, regulatory, and standards compliance for manufactured products.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to travel internationally as required.

Nice to have

• Internal combustion engine design experience.
• Plastic tooling and structural design experience.
• Consumer product or electronic consumer product development experience.
