What you will do
- Manage multiple product development projects from early concept through mass production.
- Coordinate daily technical and non-technical communication among engineering groups and international stakeholders.
- Drive product designs that meet cost, timing, reliability, safety, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
- Evaluate design alternatives and lead the integration of components, assemblies, materials, packaging, and compliance requirements.
- Write and refine product, performance, and testing specifications based on technology and customer requirements.
- Lead design and safety reviews, quality compliance activities, patent searches, and innovation protection efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing requirements and regulatory or standards compliance.
Nice to have
- Plastic tooling experience.
- Structural design experience.
- Consumer product design experience.
- Electronic consumer product development experience.
