Experienced Operator/Mechanic (Chemical)

Location: El Dorado, Arkansas, United States; onsite, rotating 12-hour shifts

What you will do

• Monitor and operate equipment and facilities while maintaining quality and compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform operating sequences that support chemical processes and rotate through area roles, including control room operations.
• Load, ship, and receive finished, raw, and intermediate materials.
• Perform minor maintenance within the assigned operating area and training level.
• Maintain production targets, quality standards, equipment condition, and safety, environmental, and health requirements.
• Handle pressure, temperature, level, and flow systems; perform leak testing and safely manage hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to work onsite in El Dorado, Arkansas, on a rotating shift schedule, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and short-notice call-ins.
• Ability to work in a high-hazard process and wear required PPE, including SCBA.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, reach overhead, hear alarms, and perform close work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the ability to learn new computer systems.

Nice to have

• Two-year certificate or associate degree in Process Technology, chemical or petrochemical operator experience, or chemical packing experience.
• Experience interpreting schematics, procedures, manufacturers’ literature, safety requirements, and general instructions.
• Experience with job safety analysis, equipment lockout safety procedures, SAP or equivalent manufacturing software, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
