Operator Technican (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Monitor assigned chemical production and process equipment, including Ammonia, ANF, Nitric Acid/Urea, shipping, and port areas.
• Operate valves, instruments, and mechanical equipment to adjust levels, flows, temperatures, pressures, and equipment speed.
• Conduct process-area rounds, collect operational data, maintain records, and request work orders when needed.
• Safely load trucks and railcars, unload incoming materials into plant storage, and maintain company-fleet railcars.
• Operate switch engines and perform switchman duties while coordinating loading and shipping with other plant and port teams.
• Follow environmental controls and safety requirements to protect people, equipment, and the environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in chemical operations, oil and gas, railroad, construction, or another industrial setting preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, math, analytical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Physical ability and willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including required overtime, weekends, and holidays.
