What you will do
- Monitor, adjust, document, and communicate plant process and quality conditions.
- Transfer materials between drums, totes, bags, tankers, reactors, tanks, and other containers using diaphragm, gear, and centrifugal pumps.
- Move and connect chemical hoses and maneuver containers for filling and storage.
- Package and stack 55-lb. bags of product onto pallets.
- Respond to operating deviations and complete process documentation in accordance with site SOPs.
- Participate in Zero Harm and SIM programs and follow required safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar environment.
- Unrestricted right to work for in the United States.
- Ability to read and complete batch sheets and operational documentation, learn basic chemistry and math, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and work on stairs, ladders, and platforms.
- Physical ability to lift 55-lb. bags and stand, walk, bend, stretch, and move equipment for extended periods.
Nice to have
- Education beyond a High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with materials regulated under RCRA.
- Hazardous material handling and waste transfer experience.
