Chemical Operator II (Days) (Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, Texas; position based at the Burnet, Texas facility. Onsite day shift with a 3-2-2 schedule from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. after training and certification.

What you will do

• Weigh, add, and blend chemicals in mixing tanks while maintaining safety, quality, and production throughput.
• Fill canisters, inspect finished products, and package them for shipment.
• Collect chemistry samples and submit them to the analytical laboratory for testing.
• Operate PLC-controlled equipment and maintain accurate production records and data sheets.
• Identify equipment problems, troubleshoot process issues, and recommend improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with leadership, engineering, the analytical laboratory, and logistics while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of technical, mechanical, or comparable work experience.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals is strongly preferred.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office; SAP and PLC experience are advantageous.
• Ability to work overtime, wear required PPE, attain respirator certification, lift or move up to 50 pounds, and push up to 130 pounds.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/14000 environments and semiconductor, manufacturing, or operations experience are desirable.
