Senior Associate, Fund Accounting

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid arrangement requiring a minimum of 3–4 days per week in the office

Base salary: $105,000–$115,000 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus and additional total rewards eligibility.

What you will do

• Review quarter-end close processes, financial reporting, and capital account statements for assigned funds.
• Prepare distribution recommendations with portfolio management, investment operations, and treasury.
• Coordinate with fund administrators on capital calls, distributions, redemptions, financial reporting, and key metrics.
• Support the Fund Controller with fund closings and matters related to legal document terms.
• Compile financial information for regulatory filings, including Form ADV and Form PF.
• Coordinate external auditors and third-party service providers while maintaining reporting timelines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of public and/or private accounting experience focused on asset management.
• Technical understanding of US GAAP and its application to asset management, fund of funds, and private credit.
• Ability to apply GAAP concepts to sophisticated transactions and complex fund structures.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage production calendars across multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with fund of funds or private credit funds.
• CPA qualification.
