Senior Fund Accountant

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model. Work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

Annual base salary: $130,000–$135,000, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared by fund administrators.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and other fund service providers.
• Analyze investment transactions and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Monitor fund cash activity, projections, credit line requests, paydowns, and bank compliance.
• Support capital call and distribution calculations, investor inquiries, and financial reporting requests.
• Improve day-to-day accounting processes and contribute to ad hoc projects, including AI-related initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of public and/or private accounting experience.
• Exposure to fund accounting in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or similar investment vehicles.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadline-driven workstreams.
• Proactive, adaptable, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to quality.

• Active or inactive CPA certification.
