Manager - Cyber Operations (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Manage the execution of the information security roadmap and the day-to-day workload of the security and NERC operations team.
• Lead NERC operations and Protection Systems activities supporting Operational Smart Grid IT and OT environments.
• Design, implement, operate, and evolve cybersecurity solutions and strategies for grid digitalization.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, security workflows, system hardening, patch management, access controls, and change control.
• Develop dashboards, reports, performance metrics, and cybersecurity data initiatives to generate operational insights.
• Improve vulnerability management through automation, deployment coordination, and internal and external stakeholder management.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 4+ years, bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years, associate degree with 8+ years, or no degree with 15+ years of experience in IT/OT, NERC/CIP, or cybersecurity.
• Experience with system hardening, patch management, vulnerability management, supplier management, and security procedures.
• Supervisory or management experience over staff, projects, or contractors.
• At least 2 years of data center and OT infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of NERC/CIP standards, system engineering, advanced networking, and cybersecurity operations.
• Experience with access control systems and security infrastructure such as SSO, AD, TACACS, MFA, IDS/IPS, firewalls, WAF, and configuration management.

Nice to have

• Ability to obtain Secret-level security clearance.
• Federal or state regulatory, government cybersecurity, or utility-sector experience.
• CISSP certification and additional NERC-CIP experience.
