Sr Mgr-Technology Operations (Network Security)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; employees work in the office at least four days per week and may work from home one day per week. Valid U.S. work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship needs.

Base salary: $115,000–$147,000 per year, with potential variable compensation depending on the role.

What you will do

• Provide operational leadership for the mainframe database technology operations team and related technical applications and services.
• Develop technical roadmaps, policies, standards, engineering procedures, and lifecycle plans for network and datacenter environments.
• Plan technical delivery for complex transformation projects and govern technology execution across teams.
• Lead security incident response, major-incident escalations, outage response, security monitoring, audits, and after-hours on-call support.
• Manage engineers and vendor partners, including resource planning, coaching, performance management, and solution delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration across IT disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10+ years of relevant network security experience and 5–7+ years of broad technical experience.
• 4+ years overseeing technical employees or vendor partner resources, including coaching and mentoring security staff.
• Experience with large-scale projects, escalation management, resource planning, stakeholder communication through C-level, and global financial or enterprise network environments.
• Proven ability to improve configurations, procedures, and processes to increase availability, capability, and efficiency.
• Must have U.S. work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Tufin, F5, Infoblox, DDoS protection, packet brokers, Wireshark, NetFlow, and packet analysis.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Cloudflare, load balancing, cloud security, monitoring, and security groups.
• Experience with network access control, Cisco Firepower, VPN, routing and switching, wireless, ACI, Meraki, SD-WAN, and ISE.
• Automation and scripting experience, plus network monitoring, capacity management, and performance management.
