Sr Manager - Cyber Defense (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead a multi-domain enterprise cyber defense organization spanning the SOC, incident response, detection engineering, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
• Partner with the CISO and executive leadership to define and execute the enterprise cyber defense strategy.
• Recruit, coach, and develop cybersecurity professionals while managing operational budgets and vendor strategies.
• Lead response to critical security events, including insider risk and supply chain threats, with cross-functional containment and executive communication.
• Establish tabletop exercises, purple team operations, and SOAR improvements to strengthen response readiness and reduce MTTR.
• Oversee detection engineering, risk-weighted vulnerability management, and security governance for emerging technologies such as AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or an equivalent qualification.
• At least eight years of security or cybersecurity experience, including at least three years in information security or cybersecurity.
• Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, IT infrastructure, defense-in-depth security, audits, project management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to perform risk, business impact, control, and vulnerability assessments and define mitigation plans.
• Strong relationship-building skills across business units and the ability to understand business imperatives.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in Information Systems, Management, or an equivalent field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or Security+.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• U.S. Person status may be required for positions involving controlled goods and technologies under ITAR or EAR.
