Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States; no remote or telework allowed. Customer core hours are 09:00–15:00, Monday–Friday.

Projected annual compensation: $133,901.35–$232,828.46.

What you will do

• Support cybersecurity and information assurance activities for a national customer.
• Advance process improvements and modernization efforts to automate risk management and improve decision timelines.
• Provide senior-level support to government leadership, SETAs, and other stakeholders.
• Develop project reviews, portfolio roadmaps, technical requirements, presentations, recommendations, and findings.
• Analyze policies and procedures against federal laws and regulations and recommend ways to close compliance gaps.
• Develop strategies addressing privacy and risk management requirements.

Requirements

• BS with 10–12 years of experience, MS with 8–10 years, or PhD with 5–7 years.
• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to support customer core hours from 09:00 to 15:00, Monday–Friday.
• Cybersecurity certification aligned with DoD 8570/8140.
• Experience with risk management, federal cybersecurity policies, privacy requirements, and compliance analysis.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and brief senior government or customer personnel.

Nice to have

• Systems engineering experience, including configuration management, requirements writing, architecture, and interfaces.
• Familiarity with customer information assurance processes, tools, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions and the IC or DoD cybersecurity domain.
• Ability to prioritize multiple customer requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
