Assistant Professor Tenure-Track - Health and Human Physiology

Location: On campus in Stephenville, Texas, United States. This is a 9-month tenure-track position with work generally scheduled Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or according to teaching requirements. Teaching may occasionally be assigned at other Tarleton campuses or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop syllabi, instructional materials, assessments, and curriculum improvements.
• Support student learning through active instruction, feedback, office hours, academic advising, and mentoring.
• Maintain an active research, scholarship, or creative activity agenda and publish, present, or exhibit original contributions.
• Mentor undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in their academic and research work.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service, committees, recruitment, and program development.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline from an accredited university.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
• Knowledge of the disciplinary subject matter sufficient for graduate-level instruction.
• Ability to conduct effective teaching and research activities and collaborate professionally with students, staff, and faculty.
• Applicants with degrees earned outside the United States must provide English-translated transcripts and an official credential evaluation.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation.
