Assistant/Associate Professor (Kinesiology & Physical Education) (AI)

Location: Prairie View, Texas, United States; full-time, tenure-track faculty position.

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in kinesiology-related areas using evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Design and revise curricula aligned with disciplinary standards, ACSM and CAAHEP accreditation criteria, and workforce needs.
• Supervise student research, internships, capstone projects, and academic or professional development.
• Establish a research agenda in exercise science, sport management, athletic training, or related areas; publish scholarly work and pursue external funding.
• Integrate motion capture systems, wearable fitness devices, AI-assisted learning tools, virtual simulations, and digital health technologies into teaching or research.
• Contribute to committees, accreditation, interdisciplinary initiatives, and community outreach focused on physical activity, chronic disease prevention, obesity, and health access.

Requirements

• Ph.D., Ed.D., or Dr. P.H. in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Health and Human Performance, or a closely related field.
• One to three years of teaching experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching kinesiology or related courses.
• Emerging or established research agenda and scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals or edited volumes.
• Ability to mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students and collaborate in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Commitment to teaching, research, service, and the mission of hirify.global.

Nice to have

• Success or strong potential in obtaining external funding from NIH, NSF, CDC, or foundations.
• Expertise in exercise prescription and rehabilitation, sport management, biomechanics and motion analysis, athletic training, AI applications, wearable technology, or digital health analytics.
• Experience with community engagement, program accreditation, curriculum assessment, interdisciplinary collaboration, or emerging instructional technologies.
• Active participation in ACSM, SHAPE America, NAKHE, or similar professional organizations.
