Instructional Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

Location: Laredo, Texas; regular attendance on campus and in the workplace is required

What you will do

• Teach 15 semester credit hours per semester in undergraduate kinesiology courses.
• Cover subjects including biomechanics, exercise physiology, athletic training, adapted physical activity, and other kinesiology topics.
• Deliver course content in in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
• Provide student review sessions and support student success.
• Provide service to the college, university, and surrounding community.
• Accommodate evening classes and weekend instruction when needed.

Requirements

• Earned PhD in Exercise Science or a related Kinesiology field.
• At least 18 graduate hours in the desired discipline.
• Previous collegiate-level teaching experience.
• Ability to maintain a regular on-campus and workplace attendance schedule in Laredo, Texas.
• Flexibility to teach evening and weekend classes as necessary.

Nice to have

• NSCA CPT or CSCS certification.
• ACSM certification.
