What you will do
- Plan, develop, and deliver undergraduate and graduate Health Science courses using evidence-based instructional practices.
- Teach topics including population health, healthcare systems, health promotion, epidemiology, health policy, and rural health.
- Evaluate student learning outcomes, maintain academic records, and provide academic advising and mentoring.
- Facilitate internships, clinical placements, applied practice experiences, and community-based projects.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, healthcare systems, public health agencies, and community partners to support workforce development.
Requirements
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in undergraduate and/or graduate health science courses.
- Expertise in at least one relevant area, such as population health, rural health, healthcare systems, epidemiology, health promotion, or health policy.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills, with a commitment to student success and inclusive learning.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, quality improvement, and community engagement.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Doctoral degree in Health Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in rural-serving or regional university environments, scholarship, research, publications, presentations, or grant activity.
- Experience with accreditation, healthcare systems, public health agencies, community organizations, or workforce development projects.
- Professional certification or licensure relevant to the discipline, such as CHES, MHA, RN, or APRN.
