Technician III, Technician IV, or Senior Technician I (Nanofabrication)

Location: Main Campus, College Station, Texas, United States; onsite cleanroom role. Employment requires presenting original documents proving identity and authorization to work in the United States for Form I-9 verification.

What you will do

• Maintain and support facilities, utility equipment, and nanofabrication processing equipment.
• Use technical manuals, online resources, and OEM representatives to keep equipment operational and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues involving thin film deposition, photolithography, metrology, and reactive ion etching tools.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Class 100 cleanroom facilities, including CDA, nitrogen, air handlers, dirty air scrubbers, and fan filter units.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, OEMs, quality control personnel, staff, and undergraduate student workers on equipment interventions and system improvements.
• At the Senior Technician I level, train and guide junior team members and make strategic decisions about AggieFab infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technician IV level: at least two years of related experience.
• Senior Technician I level: at least four years of related experience.
• Experience with nanofabrication equipment maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting is required for a well-qualified candidate.
• Ability to follow cleanroom cleanliness protocols and Standard Operating Procedures strictly.
• Ability to work onsite at the College Station, Texas campus and provide United States work authorization documents for I-9 verification.
