Engineering Technician IV (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. On-site technical work with up to 20% travel; relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $29.00–$39.60 per hour

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical systems, prototypes, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at both system and component level.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, rework, malfunction remediation, and Quality Notifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Prepare logbooks and test procedure documentation and assist with department procedures.
• Follow safety, security, cleanroom, and equipment operating procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in analytical processes and procedures relevant to assigned technical work.
• Ability to read and work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal descriptions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, work in tight spaces, and lift as required for a physically demanding role.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially challenging noise levels.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom while using required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
