Location: Bryan, Texas, United States; onsite facility operations. This security-sensitive position is restricted to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents.
Salary: $14,583–$17,917 per month, commensurate with experience.

What you will do
- Lead daily operations for a semiconductor coupon and wafer research fabrication facility, including user access, scheduling, supplies, technical support, and service coordination.
- Direct the installation, commissioning, qualification, modernization, and expansion of process equipment and facility systems.
- Oversee photolithography, thin-film deposition, plasma and wet etch, diffusion, thermal processing, and post-wafer processing operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance, preventive service, repairs, calibration, downtime tracking, and operational readiness.
- Establish and enforce safety, chemical and equipment management, waste handling, environmental compliance, SOP, and audit procedures.
- Supervise, train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate technical, administrative, student, and temporary facility personnel while reporting performance and resource needs to institutional leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, industrial technology, facilities management, laboratory management, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of commercial semiconductor fabrication facility experience, including advanced management, plus 5 or more years in laboratory, research facility, technical support, semiconductor, microelectronics, cleanroom, manufacturing, or comparable technical environments. A master’s or doctoral degree may substitute for experience.
- Hands-on expertise with semiconductor process tools, wafer fabrication support equipment, cleanroom mechanical systems, vacuum pumps, deionized water systems, and hardware and software control systems.
- Experience supporting throughput, resolving bottlenecks, maintaining compliance, and promoting safety and quality.
- Ability to coordinate operational workflows, budgets, procurement, vendors, maintenance, training documentation, records, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency is required. The role may require work outside normal business hours and occasional travel to partner facilities, vendor sites, or Texas A&M System locations.
Nice to have
- At least five years of advanced or executive management experience in the semiconductor industry or a laboratory environment.
- Experience with semiconductor facility design and construction, trades coordination, equipment installation and qualification, cleanrooms, MEMS, advanced manufacturing, or university technical facilities.
- Experience with wafer and coupon flow tracking, safety documentation, hazardous materials and waste coordination, user onboarding, preventive maintenance contracts, and operations dashboards.
- Relevant safety, facilities, cleanroom, hazardous materials, or equipment certifications.
