Engineering Technician II (Electromechanical)

Location: Austin, TX; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, subsystems, and components.
• Perform system installations, new product introduction installations, and field upgrades.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Compile logbooks, test procedures, and other engineering and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform testing-related rework and generate quality notifications while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to read and work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot typical problems using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, kneel, climb, work in tight spaces, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in a noisy environment; operation of heavy machinery, including forklifts, may be required.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, gloves, respirators, and face shields.
