Senior Director, AI Solutions Architecture

Salary: $230,332.15–$311,625.85 annually

What you will do

• Define and lead the enterprise AI solution architecture strategy.
• Co-create AI solutions with stakeholders across R&D, Operations, Commercial, and corporate functions.
• Develop solution blueprints connecting business objectives, user needs, AI/ML methods, data assets, platforms, integrations, governance, and ROI.
• Assess feasibility, value, complexity, data readiness, operating models, and adoption pathways for AI initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, data, platform, security, privacy, legal, compliance, and domain teams to deliver scalable, governed, production-ready solutions.
• Build, lead, hire, and develop the AI solution architecture function.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 4+ years, master’s degree with 6+ years, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant AI, machine learning, data science, computer science, engineering, product, or technology strategy experience.
• 4+ years of direct managerial experience, including management of managers or senior technical leaders.
• Experience in enterprise AI products, platforms, or solutions with measurable business impact and ROI.
• Deep understanding of modern AI/ML methods, generative AI, data platforms, APIs, cloud architecture, MLOps, and production AI systems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into solution architectures, execution plans, value cases, and adoption pathways.
• Experience with responsible AI, privacy, security, regulatory, compliance, and model-risk considerations.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, enterprise architecture, product management, technology strategy, or related leadership roles.
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, data science, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent business education.
• Biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated-industry experience.
