Senior AI/ML Solutions Architect (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid with office attendance 3 days per week; candidates must be within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.

Salary: $153,000–$192,000 per year expected hiring range; full salary range is $153,000–$250,000 per year. Bonus target: 20%.

What you will do

• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, technical evaluations, and production-quality code for AI solutions.
• Establish AI architecture standards, reference architectures, and implementation patterns for RAG systems, agentic applications, and ML pipelines.
• Define approaches for evaluation, observability, monitoring, safety guardrails, model governance, bias mitigation, and responsible AI.
• Bridge Applied AI, enterprise architecture, platform engineering, and infrastructure teams while leading technical design reviews.
• Guide AI/ML portfolio decisions by assessing feasibility, integration complexity, emerging technologies, and reuse opportunities.
• Architect complex partnership integrations across multiple organizations and platforms.

Requirements

• Deep technical knowledge of modern AI/ML systems, including GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic systems, classic ML, and ML/LLM operations.
• Strong Python coding skills and experience building production AI applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based solutions with AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
• Architecture experience across business units and technology domains, including microservices, event-driven architectures, API design, and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience architecting for regulated industries; healthcare and health insurance experience is preferred.
• 12+ years in technology, including at least 7 years evaluating business requirements and designing complete systems solutions, plus 2–3 years of technical leadership and architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
