Location: Remote within the United States; listed location is Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Salary: $168,000–$210,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of AI-enabled software platforms and scalable technical solutions.
• Research and evaluate AI, machine learning, generative AI, cloud, and software architecture technologies.
• Analyze features, data flows, and system designs for scalability, performance, security, and AI readiness.
• Define reference architectures for data ingestion, retrieval-augmented generation, model integration, inference, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Document architecture patterns, model lifecycle considerations, data governance, observability, and responsible AI guardrails.
• Guide engineering teams in AI-assisted development and collaborate with product, data, security, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of web application development, service-oriented architecture, cloud-native platforms, or AI-enabled application design experience preferred.
• 10+ years of full-stack enterprise application development and experience integrating AI, automation, analytics, or data-driven capabilities preferred.
• 10+ years leading software engineering teams and mentoring architects and engineers preferred.
• Mastery of software architecture and design, with strong knowledge of AI-enabled system design patterns.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft .NET, application integration, relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Experience with SaaS cloud environments, AWS deployment, cloud AI services, model hosting, monitoring, security, privacy, compliance, governance, and MLOps.

Nice to have

• Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, agentic AI patterns, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience operationalizing AI capabilities in production enterprise applications.
