Senior Manager, Technical Design

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 base salary annually

What you will do

• Lead a team of technical designers through garment development from concept to pre-production.
• Establish fit, measurement, grading, construction, and on-body quality standards across product categories.
• Partner with design, product, integrity, vendors, and other cross-functional teams to define fit intent, develop fit blocks, and solve quality concerns.
• Build and maintain accurate Centric PLM tech-pack data, including bills of materials, specifications, construction details, sketches, artwork, patterns, and size charts.
• Lead fit, artwork, construction, wear-testing, and garment-testing reviews, communicating outcomes to internal and external partners.
• Manage seasonal development workflows, prototype approvals, vendor relationships, and GTM deadlines.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a proven leader in technical design.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Technical Design.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, balance and fit, patternmaking, and technical drawing.
• Experience with 2D and 3D patternmaking software, including Gerber PDS or Optitex and Clo or Browzwear.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Google Suite, and PLM systems; Centric is preferred. Ability to travel twice per year.
