Technical Project Manager Sr (Aerospace)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Relocation assistance is provided. Travel up to 20% to coordinate execution across hirify.global sites.

What you will do

• Establish project plans from a blank sheet, including work breakdown structures, schedules, milestones, estimates, staffing plans, and success criteria.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, capital expenditures, performance, and variance reporting through delivery.
• Drive projects through concept, development, installation, commissioning, and handover to operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, facilities, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and supply-chain partners across multiple sites.
• Manage risks, change control, configuration baselines, safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and recovery plans.
• Build dashboards and reporting structures, apply AI-enabled workflows, and improve project-management governance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of project-management experience on aerospace or other complex technical programs, or relevant equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field, or equivalent hands-on experience, technical training, or military training.
• Experience standing up a new program or capability from concept and setting long-range objectives with limited precedent.
• Ability to build schedules and estimates from first principles; proficiency with MS Project or equivalent and experience with tools such as Primavera P6, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Tableau.
• Experience applying AI-based tools, building AI-enabled workflows or analytics, and working with data and metrics.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or person granted asylum in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex aerospace product lifecycles, critical-path scheduling, integrated master schedules, EVM, cost-account management, or proposal development.
• Experience with facilities, construction, capital projects, tooling installation, equipment commissioning, or site readiness.
• Experience improving project-management processes and governance.
• SQL or other coding ability.
