Sr Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Vandalia, Ohio, United States; hybrid work environment with office and remote work

What you will do

• Manage high-risk, high-complexity projects with multiple deliverables from initiation through closeout.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate resources and lead teams of at least five employees directly or indirectly.
• Oversee proposal development, contract negotiation, engineering development, operations, production, testing, delivery, and contract closeout.
• Track milestones, budgets, risks, and performance indicators while preparing stakeholder reports.
• Interface with internal and external customers and adapt project execution to frequent changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; 10 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 6 years of project management or related technical experience.
• Experience managing highly complex projects and projects requiring Earned Value Management.
• Advanced project management tools, project management methodologies, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software proficiency.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, communication, organization, problem-solving, and scheduling skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with scope and scope creep, resource planning, and risk management.
• Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI, government contracting, and related regulations.
