Operations Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Simi Valley, California, United States; office-based role

Salary: $111,000–$169,250 per year

What you will do

• Manage the Operations portion of one or more programs throughout the program life cycle.
• Coordinate production planning, supply chain management, manufacturing, and factory execution across Composites, Avionics/Engines, and Final operations.
• Develop and manage controls, success criteria, and performance measurement baselines.
• Identify, analyze, and report Operations risks and opportunities while coordinating project dependencies.
• Establish and communicate factory priorities and keep stakeholders informed about program and hardware delivery status.
• Support corrective actions, program reviews, scope-change assessments, cost proposals, and supplier requirement flow-down.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8–12 years of experience in Operations and/or Project Management, including a record of successfully running multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methods, tools, and processes in a highly technical environment.
• Collaborative problem-solving skills and the ability to interface with internal teams, government customers, and commercial customers.
• Basic familiarity with export licenses for military products.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR or be eligible for approval of an export license; U.S. citizenship is required for some contract-based positions.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Oracle.
• Experience with Department of Defense contracts.
• Familiarity with AS-9100 quality standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
