TL;DR
Project Manager (Aerospace): Leading cross-functional aerospace manufacturing and supply chain projects with an accent on supplier transitions, cost control, productivity improvements, and new product integration. Focus on managing project plans, coordinating engineering and operations teams, resolving operational issues, and delivering milestones within cost targets.

Location: Burbank, California, United States. This is a full-time, office-based role in a manufacturing environment. Only US persons will be considered due to controlled data access and ITAR requirements. Travel up to 25%, including some international travel.

Salary: $107,000–$133,000 per year. Some roles may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense markets, including aircraft, satellite, military, and unmanned systems.

What you will do

  • Lead cross-functional Business, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams.
  • Manage supplier transitions, hardware delivery tracking, sourcing activities, and operational planning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering milestones, deliverables, resources, timelines, and costs.
  • Drive productivity, cost reduction, design-to-cost, quality improvement, new product integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, resolve issues, coordinate internal resources and third parties, and escalate risks when necessary.
  • Communicate schedules, responsibilities, progress, and financial performance to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing and supply chain data analyses in an aerospace environment.
  • Proficiency in project management philosophies and processes, Microsoft Project, and office productivity tools.
  • BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or an equivalent field.
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, decision-making, teamwork, customer service, and business acumen.
  • US-person eligibility is required for access to controlled data under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

  • Technical experience, preferably in aerospace.
  • MBA or comparable advanced management degree.
  • Formal training in Program or Systems Management, PMI, or equivalent.
  • Experience reducing costs, increasing throughput, or eliminating waste.
