PM - Major Construction

Location: Office-based in Augusta or Portland, Maine, United States; projects are located in Maine, New York, and Connecticut.

Salary: $106,000–$132,500 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Manage substation and transmission projects from planning through execution and energization.
• Coordinate engineers, construction managers, internal departments, consultants, contractors, utilities, regulators, municipalities, and customers.
• Control capital and O&M budgets, project scope, schedules, costs, risks, and reporting.
• Develop contract strategies, supervise contractors, and ensure accountability for delivery and performance.
• Represent the company in regulatory and public forums, including hearings and agency meetings.
• Ensure compliance with FERC, NERC, quality management processes, and applicable engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7–10 years of relevant energy-industry experience, or more than 13 years of relevant energy-industry experience.
• Advanced experience integrating MS Project and/or Primavera with costs and resource requirements.
• Expertise in risk management, mitigation planning, budgeting, and project performance analysis.
• Experience using MS Excel and querying SAP.
• Knowledge of substations, overhead lines, and underground cable infrastructure.
• Experience with contract negotiations, supplier management, contractor supervision, team leadership, and siting permits.
