Project Manager Sr

Location: Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. Work is performed at offices, power plants, nuclear facilities, construction sites, and other AEP locations, with travel typically up to 25% and occasional light physical duties including site walkdowns and ladder climbing.

Base salary: $98,993–$128,688 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close intermediate and complex projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Manage project and outage plans, schedules, budgets, funding allocation, cost control, and reporting.
• Lead matrix project teams, planning meetings, stakeholder presentations, and communications.
• Coordinate with operating staff, customers, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal partners to support safe and effective delivery.
• Develop procurement plans, manage contracts, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and oversee vendor performance.
• Mentor project managers, supervise sub-team project managers, manage assigned programs, and lead project closeout reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field with five years of qualified experience; equivalent paths include an associate degree with seven years or a high school diploma/GED with nine years.
• At least two years of experience as a Project Manager at Grade 7 or demonstrated equivalent competencies.
• Experience in project management, construction, estimating, project controls, project engineering, or a comparable production environment with increasing responsibility.
• Knowledge of construction safety, negotiations, scope control, cost estimating, construction contracting, project controls, quality control, and risk management.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Work may involve hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure at nuclear power sites within NRC-prescribed limits.

Nice to have

• Experience in utilities, commercial nuclear power, or IT systems.
