Production Technician (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Green Lake Facility, Port Lavaca, Texas, United States. Onsite role working rotating 12-hour shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays; participation in the plant Emergency Response Team requires availability for emergencies 24/7.

What you will do

• Control chemical processing equipment and systems according to operating procedures and process instrumentation.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, levels, and flows using field instruments and a distributed control system.
• Record process data, complete shift handovers, collect samples, and support plant unit operations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, capacity, and product quality.
• Identify maintenance issues, submit SAP or work orders, and help maintain safe, regulatory-compliant equipment.
• Support housekeeping, safety audits, training, certifications, and emergency response activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Process Technology degree or chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to use DCS, data historian, spreadsheets, word processors, email, document management systems, electronic devices, and industrial tools.
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals, at heights, outdoors, in confined spaces, and while wearing required protective equipment; a valid driver’s license is required for emergency vehicles.
