What you will do

• Maintain, repair, and install instrumentation and electrical equipment, including plant lighting, thermostat systems, programmable controllers, motors, and control circuits.
• Perform equipment testing, calibration, linearity checks, factory acceptance testing, and functional testing of new installations.
• Troubleshoot asset failures, poor performance, and wear using schematics, one-line diagrams, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, blueprints, and P&ID drawings.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance while supporting site profitability, product quality, regulatory compliance, and asset improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized maintenance management system and report findings, labor hours, observations, and actions taken.
• Collaborate with operations, improve maintenance procedures, and lead changes that increase reliability and optimize costs.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Instrumentation or a related field.
• Completion of a 5-year apprenticeship program and 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of digital, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation; controls; smart transmitters; field devices; motors; and power and control circuits.
• Familiarity with distributed control systems such as Invensys I/A or Emerson DeltaV and programmable logic controllers such as Modicon or Rockwell.
• Must possess or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card before the first day of employment.
• Training and practical knowledge related to LOTO, system and process openings, working at heights, hot work, confined space entry, and energized electrical work.
