Associate Producer and Editor - Temp

Location: Chicago, IL; on-site control-room and field-production duties required

What you will do

• Create written and visual graphic elements, including statistics, in iNews for live broadcasts.
• Proofread graphics and correspondent information for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and spelling under tight deadlines.
• Work in the control room during pre-production and live broadcasts to time content, create new graphics, and correct errors before air.
• Gather and communicate feed information, statistics, and production updates to producers, talent, anchors, and other departments.
• Place sponsorships and assigned promotions according to production requirements.
• Assist with field production on site and verify game formats and traffic logs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in sports or news production, preferably with an emphasis on graphic interpretation of news events.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong editorial judgment, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a live broadcast environment.
• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency, with excellent verbal and written Spanish.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Working knowledge of VizRt.
