What you will do

• Provide IP legal services and business-partner counseling to hirify.global China businesses and staff functions.
• Work with technical teams to capture inventions, validate invention submissions, and recommend patent applications to global divisions.
• Draft and review patent applications and office-action responses with local outside counsel and global IP attorneys.
• Provide freedom-to-operate opinions and guidance on intellectual property matters.
• Review IP clauses in commercial contracts and draft technical collaboration, R&D funding, and university agreements.
• Train technical and business teams on IP processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in materials science, chemical engineering, polymer science, chemistry, or a related technical field.
• Qualification as a Chinese patent attorney is required.
• Solid experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and invalidation, preferably in a multinational company or reputable law firm.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
• Business acumen and the ability to translate technical innovation into strategic IP value.
• Fluent Mandarin and proficient business and technical English are required.
