IP/Patent Counsel (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Provide IP legal support for European and German subsidy and funding programs.
• Draft and negotiate NDAs, memoranda of understanding, grant agreements, project cooperation agreements, and development or collaboration agreements.
• Support European patent and technology licensing, litigation, and defense matters with internal colleagues and external counsel.
• Advise business, R&D, and CTO teams on day-to-day intellectual property matters.
• Draft global patent applications, prosecute European patent applications, and select inventions for patent protection.
• Manage external counsel and advise inventors on patent drafting and prosecution.

Requirements

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science, with good knowledge of electronics and semiconductors.
• Fully or partially qualified European and/or German Patent Attorney.
• Experience in an industrial IP department or law firm.
• Experience drafting contracts focused on development and intellectual property terms and conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English are required.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate in interdisciplinary, multinational teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with European and German subsidy and funding programs.
• French language skills.
