Production Specialist

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA; onsite

What you will do

• Provide daily production-floor support by monitoring process performance, analyzing operating data, troubleshooting issues, and supporting production objectives.
• Coordinate daily operating plans and support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
• Monitor Clean-in-Place activities, product changeovers, startups, and shutdowns for compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations using Root Cause Failure Analysis and other structured problem-solving methods.
• Analyze current and historical performance data to identify continuous-improvement opportunities.
• Coach hourly manufacturing employees and collaborate with Production Engineers, Operations teams, and site leadership.

Requirements

• At least five years of manufacturing or process-operations experience, or a relevant engineering bachelor's degree with one to two years of experience, including internships or cooperative education.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data, evaluate risks, and support business decisions.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Understanding of safety, quality, efficiency, operational excellence, and continuous-improvement principles.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and positive leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, computer systems, and databases.

Nice to have

• Food manufacturing experience, including centrifugation, pumping systems, spray drying, or process control operations.
• Knowledge of maintenance and work-management processes, including SAP-based Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Six Sigma certification or Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement experience.
